Jackson Maina Ndegwa – Front Desk Agent, Country Lodge Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya

Course studied: ICM Diploma in Tourism and Business Studies

Jackson Maina NdegwaI studied an ICM Diploma in Tourism and Business Studies at the Tsavo Park Hotel Institute in Kenya. With an ICM qualification, I was able to get a job quickly in the tourism and hospitality industry, working as a Front Desk Agent and Cashier at a four star hotel in Nairobi.

My ICM course equipped me with many skills necessary for a successful career in business; in particular management skills that I have been able to utilise in my current profession. Ideally, I would like to study for an ICM Advanced Diploma and then hopefully obtain a degree in Business Management. In the future I hope to work for the Tourism Board in Kenya.

With my ICM qualification, I have been able to begin my career in the tourism management industry. Working in a deluxe hotel in the Kenyan capital, I have been able to put into practice all that I learned during the diploma course. I would definitely recommend ICM courses to any potential students. The number of successful ICM graduates working in different sectors of the economy is enough reason to recommend the Institute to anyone interested in quality management skills.
