Emmanuel Emil Gyamfi - General Manager, Goodnews FM Radio

Course studied: Diploma in Business Studies

Emmanuel Emil GyamfiDuring my professional life, I have worked as a Lecturer, Agriculturist and Management Consultant. I am now the General Manager of Goodnews FM Radio Station in Takoradi, Ghana - as well as a major facilitator at Twin City University College. The establishment was the first private university in Ghana’s western region.

Before studying with ICM, I trained as an Agricultural Officer at the Kwadaso Agricultural College and obtained a Diploma in General Agriculture.

In 1986, I moved to Bournemouth in the UK to study management and completed ICM Diplomas in Business Studies and Commercial Management. I graduated in 1988 and then went on to study an MBA in Management at the Western International University in London.

I returned to Ghana in 1997 and started a farming business, whilst at the same time taking up appointments as a Lecturer at the Trans-Africa College, and the Business Management and Financial Institute in Accra.

My current role as General Manager at Goodnews FM involves managing the day-to-day running of the station, as well as teaching students taking part in our ‘radio school’. Studying with ICM has equipped me with effective and efficient managerial skills, and I would certainly recommend the Institute’s programmes to students looking to further their study.

When I’m not working, I enjoy reading books on science and management, as well as titles that inspire me. I am passionate about teaching and motivating students to achieve their full potential in their education and careers. As an Agriculturist, I enjoy farming - particularly vegetables and poultry.
