Qualification equivalency

ICM courses can provide students with access into a number of levels of a degree programme. Below is a table of ICM courses and their equivalencies:
| ICM Programme | Qualification equivalency |
| Single Subjects | Equate to pre-A Level qualifications. Any four Single Subjects can be converted to a Business Studies Group Certificate while eight can be converted to a Business Studies Group Diploma (by application only). |
| ICM Certificate | Equates to a pre-degree qualification (similar to A Levels, Foundation Certificate or Access programmes).Allows access to level 1/year 1 of an Honours degree. |
| ICM Diploma | Equates to level 1 of a degree.Allows direct entry into level 2/year 2 of an appropriate Honours degree programme. |
| ICM Advanced Diploma | Equates to level 2 of a degree.Allows direct entry into level 3 (final year) of an appropriate Honours degree programme. |
| ICM Graduate Diploma | Equates to level 3 of a degree.Allows direct entry into an appropriate postgraduate (Masters Degree) programme. |
These courses give students the opportunity to continue their studies at a university and to obtain a degree-level qualification once their study is complete.

The Institute of Commercial Management benefits from full recognition by the regulators of external qualifications in England – the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual).
